What if underutilized natural fibres could become useful raw materials for the next generation of 3D-printed products? In the BIO-2-PRINT project, materials such as inner bark and boat-industry wood waste are being transformed into fibre-reinforced polymer composites and processed into printable feedstock. The work shows how overlooked fibre resources can gain new value while supporting more circular and resource-efficient manufacturing.
